Digital Aura: Tokyo Exhibition

"Digital Aura: Tokyo Exhibition" is an exhibition presented by Kyoto-based printing company SunM Color in collaboration with contemporary active artists. Based on the "Digital Aura" exhibition held at Hotel Anteroom Kyoto in February 2026, this Tokyo edition brings a partially updated selection of works.

Contemporary visual expressions born from computer-centric creative environments—utilizing generative AI, 3D computer graphics, digital painting, collage, and more—are materialized through advanced printing technologies such as UV inkjet printing. This exhibition re-examines the relationship between "painting/art" and the concept of "aura" in the age of digital reproduction. Throughout the production process, artists engaged in deep dialogue with SunM Color’s print directors to explore materials and printing techniques. The result goes beyond mere reproduction, presenting "print" as an artwork in itself—one that embodies the artist's decisions, touch, and creative process.

Curated by Kazuki Takakura, who also participates as an artist in this exhibition.
